Habitats

The South Carolina Forestry Commission stewardship plan has identified general habitat types based on soil features, topography, and vegetation. Of these, herpetofaunal microhabitats within the study site include a second order blackwater stream (Goodland Creek), floodplain, open fields, mixed hardwood and pine, and hardwood slopes. The soils are sand and/or loam.
