Identification of most reptiles and amphibians can be accomplished by taking a cell phone photo and sending it with the form below. Take several different angles, including the head, back, and belly if possible. Obviously, if it is a venomous snake, keep your distance and zoom in rather than risking getting too close. Any information you can provide about the specific location, habitat, and environmental conditions might be helpful for identification purposes. You can also send photos of other wildlife besides reptiles and amphibians, and if we can’t identify it, we’ll try to find someone who can.
